Wendy Miller

I am delighted to welcome my very good friend, Wendy Miller, as a guest artist to the Spruce Ridge Studios website.

Wendy Miller is the designer behind The Red Saltbox ™, a primitive rug hooking company whose patterns are known for being folky and whimsical. She hooks in primitive wide cuts and her rugs have an instant “old age” appearance to them. She is known for her use of textured wools and primitive color palette. Wendy has hooking bees and teaches seminars out of her Ohio based studio located next to her home, a red saltbox. She has won numerous ribbons and awards for her rugs including two Sauder Awards, ATHA Rhapsody In Rugs honorable mention 2005, Rug Hooking Magazine’s Celebration XV, Celebration XVI and Celebration XVII.

Wendy has recently authored a dye book that will be available in August 2007. Spruce Ridge Studios will be a proud retailer of her new book!
