Ivy Cottage Rugs/Bonnie Smith
I can't remember a time when making something from nothing did not appeal to me. Creating, recreating, the ultimate joy! Giving something thrown away a second go-around. Rug hooking primitive style fits right into my way of thinking. No scrap of wool is too small to set aside for another project.
Another list of heart warmers for mepaper, pencil, ink, watercolor paint boxes, paint brushessimple tools of design. I love big and little sketchbooks and filling each new page. So I surround myself with what I like. Some of my art has made its way into the rug-hooking world through the publication of The Wool Street Journal. I began publishing this periodical especially for rug hookers with a heart like my own. Now a new venturerug hooking patterns from my sketches, doodle art and designs. I already feel at home here, with like-minded folks.
Bonnie lives with her husband Dwight in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They own and operate Ivy Cottage Rugs just a few blocks from their home. Visit www.woolstreetjournal.com to learn more about an extraordinary magazine for hookers with heart.
