Spruce Ridge Studios Open House and Tent Sale

Saturday June 7, 2008 • 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(sale starts at 10 a.m. sharp—no early sales please)

I'm cleaning out my wool closet so there will be clearance-priced wool, some patterns, and other fiber related stuff
at reduced prices. I'm also clearing out yards and yards of dress making fabrics (cotton, denim, knits and more)
at super-low prices. And there may be some other surprises depending on what I find in that closet!

All sale items will be under the tent. For your regular shopping needs, my studio will be open all day.

Visa and Mastercard accepted.

Spruce Ridge Studios is so proud to have our patterns grace the covers of both the January and April 2008 issues of The Wool Street Journal. January 2008 features Oh Glorious Day, hooked by Debbe Meyers and April 2008 depicts Mr. MacGregor, hooked by Tina Ackermann. Both rug patterns are adaptations of designs by Lori Brechlin from Notforgotten Farm.

You can order The Wool Street Journal through their website: www.woolstreetjournal.com

Congratulations (and a correction!) to Celebrations XVII

Congratulations to Wendy Miller who received a winning spot in Celebrations XVII by hooking Pumpkin Thyme, a pattern available through Spruce Ridge Studios.

New Patterns

If you are a fan of punch needle, you’ll want to check out the newest Ivy Cottage Rugs designs for punching, Hen Pecked and Meet Me In The Garden. They were also featured in the January 2007 and April 2007 of The Wool Street Journal.

I have added eight new delightful patterns and one “re-design” to the Notforgotten Farm Adaptations. They cover any season you wish to hook! Spring is represented by Rain, Rain Go Away, summer’s favorite project is the whimsically patriotic July, fall’s golden colors are perfect for Give Ye Thanks, and October and Bittersweet Pumpkin are two primitives that are sure to be wickedly delightful. The re-designed Santa With Feather Trees will warm your heart with winter delight! My Beloved is the perfect romantic rug for a wedding or anniversary at any time of year. Home Sweet Home and Hex and Frex are Americana primitive pleasers.

Cindi Gay has designed a new stair riser, Annie’s Scroll, as a companion to Queen Anne’s Rose. Cindi assures me that there will be other complementary designs to this series in the future. Rose With Monarch is another addition to Cindi’s designs that can be purchased through Spruce Ridge Studios. Just in, a table runner Frick & Frack is sure to be a beautiful addition to your fall table.

Checkered Jardiniére is a simple floral pattern from Kris Miller/Spruce Ridge Studios. The design is based on various elements from antique rugs. I hooked it as a sampler to demonstrate prodding, sculpting with roving, embellishing with Wensleydale sheep locks, segregating plaids and beading. So many hooking possibilities from one pattern! How will you hook yours?

Twill Tape

Did you know that Spruce Ridge Studios stocks 14 gorgeous colors of twill tape? You’ll find a perfect shade for all your hemming needs. Colors include: Black, Navy Blue, Kelly Green, Dark Red, Pimento Red, Olive Green, Chocolate Brown, Taupe, Medium Brown, Light Brown, Golden Brown, Gold, Light Khaki, and Aqua (a close match to Rebecca Erb’s Painted Cupboard Blue wool). See the “...And More” section for pricing and details.
