August 24, 2003 Rug Hooker’s Picnic

Thrums and Chums Rug Hooking Group hosted a rug hooker's picnic at Kensington Metropark on Sunday August 24, 2003. Everyone brought their hooking and a dish to pass for lunch. Attendees were able to submit their name for a door prize drawing. We had many generous donations from our local rug hooking community, such as A Gathering Basket, Lake St. Mercantile, Ravenoaks Rug Hooking, Spruce Ridge Studios,The Hamburg Store, Linden Lane Farms, and Rita Hammock. Kindred Spirits donated some of their newest books and The Wool Street Journal donated an autographed copy of their magazine. We were blessed with really beautiful weather, good food and new friendships. A fun time was had by all! We are planning another picnic for August 2004. Mark your calendars so you don't miss it!
